About the Keynote Presentation on Thursday with Adam Welcome

We’re going to dive deep, we’re going to get personal, we’re going to make some changes. You’re going to walk away with strategies that will help you focus on what’s most important, and a plan to implement those strategies with your team for bigger results! You’re going to laugh, you’re going to think, you’re going to be challenged, you’re going to realize that you have what it takes! Who’s ready?
Adam Welcome has been a teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, and Director of Innovation for a district with 35,000 students. He was a ’20 To Watch’ with the National School Board Association, Principal of the Year in his region, a Fellow with the National Association of Elementary School Principals and has been blogging and podcasting about education for the past 15 years. Adam is passionate about connecting with other educators from across the country and makes it clear that kids come first and has preached the message of Team Kid for many years. He is also the co-founder of Kids Deserve It, the bestselling author of four books, and he has three podcasts. Adam has an amazing wife (Stacy) and two young children (Greta and Tilden) that keep life at home exciting and active. Adam also loves to run and has finished 32 marathons.

About the Keynote Presentation on Friday with Peter Felmly, Drummond Woodsum
You are going to hear about legal updates that educational leaders need to know and how best to be prepared. During this final keynote, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and get the legal advice that will help you be an even better administrator.
Peter Felmly counsels public schools in all aspects of labor law, employment law, and school law. Peter’s practice includes counseling in regard to hiring practices, discipline and discharge practices, conducting workplace investigations, compliance with discrimination laws and laws regarding the payment of wages, and the constitutional rights of students and school employees. He is a co-author of Maine School Law (6th Edition 2018), and has served as an instructor for school law courses offered by the University of Southern Maine.
