About Our Presenters . . .

Sharon Beaulieu is the Benefits Manager for the Maine Education Association Benefits Trust. She supports the relationship between the MEABT, the MEA and Anthem; she works with the school departments, their employees, and members planning retirement. She also assists active and retired members with issues regarding their health insurance and other value-added programs.

David Jones is a retirement services specialist assigned to the Teacher Unit of the Maine Public Employees Retirement System.  He and his staff process all teacher member requests, from general plan questions through the completion of the retirement process.

Elizabeth Newport began working for the Social Security Administration in February 2005.  She was a Claims Representative in the Saco Field Office for nine years and she assisted members of the public with filing for benefits administered by the Agency along with post-eligibility issues.  As of May 2014, she became the Social Security Administration’s Public Affairs Specialist for the State of Maine.  Her primary responsibility is education and outreach training.
