**In Honor of National Principals’ Month **
Maine’s Positive PRINCIPAL Story of the Day ~ Jamie Selfridge, Caribou High School ~
Jamie Selfridge has been in education for 16 years, and been a principal for 6 years. She is the NASSAP Rural School Network co-facilitator and collaborates with other principals from around the state and country which is an amazing opportunity for connection and collaboration. According to Jamie, “One of the best parts of being a principal is having the opportunity to impact students and staff on both an individual and systemic level. A smile or an encouraging word can change someone’s day, and implementing engaging programming can impact a student’s educational pathway. Every day is different, opportunities come to us on large and small scales, and knowing that I have the privilege to be a meaningful part of students’ lives is what keeps me coming back each and every day!”
