Maine’s Positive Story of the Day ~ Maine National Honor Society Leadership Workshop ~
MPA’and the National Association of Secondary School Prinicpals’ National Honor Society partnered with the University of New England-Online to offer the FIRST EVER National Honor Society Leadership Workshop for both Advisors and Student Officers from all over Maine. Over 100 students and advisors had the opportunity to work with NASSP’s Ann Postlewaite, Director of Community and Karen Miller-Ricks, Senior Program Manager of Leading and Learning to learn about leadership in each of the pillars of NHS.
Advisors then had the opportunity to have specific leadership training with Ann and Karen while the students worked with Holly Blair, Executive Director of the MPA as well as Scott Steinberg, Vice President of University Admissions, and with Molly Lichten, Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions who led a student panel of “Leader Scholars” to learn about making the most of the college admissions eperience as well as student life and being involved on campus: what are the leadership opportunities available after high school.
This is a true example of exceptional student leaders learning together and sharing their voice! #NASSP #NHS
