Maine’s Positive Story of the Day ~ Boothbay Region Elementary School in Boothbay Harbor ~
On February 5, following the historical cold snap, we experienced significant flooding in our elementary school that required us to close. We have transitioned our elementary students to 6 different sites in our region so that we could get all students back to in person learning. This has been an exhausting couple of months for our students and staff, but the community has rallied around our school and pitching in where they can. One particular thing that brought a smile to many faces, is when a parent came by on a Friday afternoon with baby goats. It was a much needed treat to cuddle with a goat!
