Maine’s Positive Story of the Day ~ Carmel Elementary School ~

Carmel Elementary teacher, Ashley Jackson, has initiated a program with local therapy dog handler Dawn Scovel, who brings her Neapolitan Mastiff named Enzo to visit the school on Fridays. Ashely has organized “Enzo Visits,” Where learners sign up to come to the library to spend a few minutes with Dawn and her dog, who is not only a gentle giant, but is also blind and deaf. He identifies all his friends by scent, and greets all with a happy sniff and wiggly tail.
