Maine’s Positive Story of the Day ~ Carrabec Community School in North Anson~

In order to raise funds for the Lewiston Tragedy for Families, CCS organized a penny drive. The $50 incentive was awarded to Karen Pease’s class for raising the most money in total among students in grades 6–8. She proposed that instead of keeping the money for themselves, they should also donate it. The seventh grade assembly cast a vote in favor of donating the funds to the Lewiston Tragedy for Families. Missy Miller and the second grade secured the K–5 wing victory. They voted to host a pizza party and consume the meal together in the classroom.
