Poland Community School students in grades Pre-K through six took part in The Great Kindness Challenge the week of January 24-28. Acts of kindness at home, school and in the community were welcomed and encouraged as staff and students promoted positivity and kindness this winter.
Students worked with the Art Teacher Kellie Whitten to create art work to “Spread Kindness at PCS”. School counselors, Danielle Higginbotham and Abby Rines kept track of acts of kindness throughout the building by placing hearts on the doors of each classroom. Students placed a sticker on the hearts to indicate the kind acts that they had performed. Kind quotes we read each day by the school secretary, Amy Vallee. Each grade sent out kind letters to members of the school community. It was a wonderful way to bring the school community together and show Panther Pride!
