Maine’s Positive Story of the Day ~ MPA Maine Association of Student Councils Annual Conference ~
On Tuesday, May 23, the MPA Maine Association of Student Councils held their first annual Conference, “Becoming: A Step in the Right Direction.” The Executive Board, made up of 9 students from all over the state, created a day long event for Maine student councils in grades 6-12 at the University of Maine. They brought in keynote speakers Suzanne Fox from the Yellow Tulip Project, as well as, Eddie Slowikowski to discuss the topic of mental health and how to become the best leader they can be. In the afternoon, the MASC Board created 5 different breakout sessions for all of the participants. It was an exceptional day that concluded with the induction of the 2023-24 MASC Board.
