Maine’s Positive Story of the Day ~ Nokomis Regional High in Newport~
The first field trip that students in a new elective course called “Are You a Mainer?” was a huge success. Students explored many jobs in Millinocket, Maine at Katahdin Resorts. They got to make woodfire pizza and learn about working in a restaurant, chat about what it takes to be an office clerk and work at the front desk, take a ride on a white water raft, and learn how to make a bed with hospital corners! The staff at Katahdin Resorts is amazing, the students loved the experience, and it was worth the long ride!
