Maine’s Principal of the Day ~ Charlie Swan, Principal of Dirigo Elementary School in Peru ~
October is Principals’ Month and in honor of Maine’s exceptional principals, the “MPA Positive Story of the Day” will feature a Maine Principal every day. Today we are honoring Charlie Swan, Principal of Dirigo Elementary School in Peru and Maine’s National Distinguished Principal.
On Friday, October 11, 2024, Charlie Swan was recognized in Washington DC along with the other National Distinguished Principals (NDP) from around the United States. This is a great honor bestowed on one elementary principal per state every year. Thank you Charlie, for all that you do for our students and staff. Keep ‘ringing the bell” for all students!
