Maine’s Principal of the Day ~ Lee Caron, Principal of Caribou Community School ~
October is Principals’ Month and in honor of Maine’s exceptional principals, the “MPA Positive Story of the Day” will feature a Maine Principal every day. Today we are honoring Lee Caron, Principal of Caribou Community School.
Lee has completed 31 years in education. For 13 years he served as an elementary/middle school teacher and high school coach for MSAD 45 – Washburn. Then he spent 7 years serving as an assistant principal and principal for Limestone Community School, moved on to serve 7 years as the principal of Caribou Middle School, and is currently serving in his fifth year as principal at RSU 39’s brand new school, Caribou Community School. He earned his Master’s degree from the University of Maine and recently completed my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of New England. He currently serves as a school board member for MSAD #45, is an active member of the Aroostook Principal’s Association, and has been recently been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Maine Principals’ Association.
“One of the best parts of being a principal is witnessing the growth and success of the students as they achieve their goals and dreams.” ~ Lee Caron
